What is c.s. fly?

C.S. Fly (born February 2, 1849) was an American photographer known for his images of the American West during the late 19th century. He was born in Harrison County, Missouri and moved to Tombstone, Arizona in the 1870s, where he established a successful photography business.

Fly was present at the infamous shootout at the O.K. Corral in 1881 and captured images of the aftermath. He also photographed important figures of the time, including the Apache warrior Geronimo and the lawman Wyatt Earp.

In addition to his photography work, Fly served as a Tombstone town councilman and was later appointed as the Superintendent of Pima County Schools. He died on October 12, 1901, and his work as a photographer has been preserved in various museums and collections.
